Flemming Gjedde-Nielsen has 25 years professional experience from working in and with civil society organisations in north and south. Hands on experience and insights from strategy development and organisation development processes, design of programme and projects, formative monitoring and evaluation of major civil society interventions.

Flemming Gjedde-Nielsen has extensive experience from designing, appraising and implementing funding and capacity building modalities including monitoring systems for bi-lateral and international NGO support programmes, targeting very diverse civil society segments.

Flemming Gjedde-Nielsen has extensive experience from working in fragile situation and societies in transition, this includes support for government reform initiatives as well as civil society in transition.

Flemming Gjedde-Nielsen has project management experience from postings in Swaziland, as chief executive officer for a scholarship providing, from Namibia as Programme Director for IBIS a major Danish NGO, and desk officer for IBIS.

Sector experience includes; education, media, general human rights,  children’s rights, housing rights, Rights of HIV/AIDS infected and affected people, urban land, public participation in local governance, budget monitoring.
